Aber Beklecker Nicht...
In case you missed it like I almost did, a Taranto reader has proposed a new terror alert warning system for John Kerry to consider:
Level 1: Ennui
Level 2: Comme ci, comme ça
Level 3: Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose
Level 4: Regardez!
Level 5: Zut alors!
As the French would say, I heard the hell outta that. Oh, and, Frank, buddy, I can just hear you reporting a Level 4.
And, just to be utterly gratuitously offensive,
Level 6: Allah Akbar!
Comments
Level Six: Quatre plus d'années!
Now THAT'S scary.
Feel the steam
See the steam
Hear the steam
Feel the steaming hot black screaming
Iridescent naugahyde python gleaming
Steam roller

And another thing: In the same Rolling Stone with the Kerry interview is "Fear and Loathing, Campaign 2004" by Hunter S. Thompson. My LOL moment:
BULLETIN
KERRY WINS GONZO ENDORSMENT; DR. THOMPSON JOINS DEMOCRAT IN CALLING BUSH "THE SYPHILLIS PRESIDENT"
"Four more years of George Bush will be like four more years of syphilis," the famed author said yesterday at a hastily called press conference near his home in Woody Creek, Colorado. "Only a fool or a sucker would vote for a dangerous loser like Bush," Dr. Thompson warned.

HST update, post-election:
In the Aspen Daily News, Thompson is quoted as deeming the election "another failure of the youth vote."
"Yeah, we rocked the vote all right. Those little bastards betrayed us again."
Not much into the blame game, but if I were it would fall squarely on four groups, separately or in combination: the hateful, the gullible, the selfish, the sheep.

Yeah, I want to know what Hunter S. Thompson thinks. Really.
And thanks for your enlightening views on the electorate. Must be tough to be you, surrounded as you are by all those various types of morons. Maybe you need to put down the zucchini and start yourself a Super Brain party, have a nominating convention and we'll watch you get sworn in in January '09.
