Lefty satire watch
Is it just me, or is satire that requires one to ignore the deaths of 3,000 office workers actually more "stupid" than "funny?"
Isn't it a tad disingenuous to take Bush to task for changes in his foreign policy brought about by 9/11? I'm not picking on the blogger in question here, and I'm pleased to note that he points out that the world has changed since then. I just read about this in Entertainment Weekly and wanted to post on it.

I'm hugely disappointed in Jon Stewart. When The Daily Show came back on the air after 9/11, Stewart gave a really moving speech. Indeed, he himself broke down profession his faith in America and Freedom. He also said, "'Subliminable' is no longer a joke."
It wasn't too long before he went even harder left than he had been before.

Well, duh! It's because Bush "squandered" all that 9/11 "goodwill" by not acting like a "victim."

Yeah. I'm just not sure what he was supposed to have done. I suppose he could have lobbed a couple of cruise missles into the Sudan. That sort of thing seems to make the liberals happy. At least when Democrats do it.

I never attacked Bush for changing his stance. To pervert the good will people had to never have something like 9/11 again into a strategic dismantling of basic human rights though, that is something I will attack any day.

Would you care to detail how human rights have been "dismantled"?

Sebastian, I was hoping for a defense of the point of the linked article. Since you now say you never attacked Bush for changing his stance, could you please tell us the point of your article comparing pre- and post-9/11 Bush speeches. Bovious only suggested you were being disingenuous. He is kind--I would have said you were trying to score easy points with the reality-challenged in your audience.

No, he's recovering from surgery after busting a gut over some old "Read My Lips: No New Taxes" bumper stickers.
