It's a Ten Commandments smackdown!
I, a Christian, say Judge Moore is breaking the commandment against graven images. Heathenish blogger The Instapundit says he's bearing false witness. Hey, who should know better, me or Reynolds?
Or maybe he's doing both. Can anyone else point out any more of the Ten Commandments that Judge Moore is breaking?

Well, looks like pride is obviously in effect.
Also, if it's true what Neil Boortz conjectures, that moore is just setting himself up for a congressional run, I'd say using one's religion to advance one's career would qualify as taking the lord's name in vain. (Okay, it's a stretch).
Not a commandment, but a biblical dictate, Moore is certainly refusing to render unto Ceasar.

Whoops. Just realized that pride is a cardinal sin, not a commandment. D'oh!

Swing & a miss on the pride thing, but I'll give you the Name In Vain.
Hey, by making a fool of himself in public, he's bringing dishonor on his mother and father...right?

It's not even a religious issue, in my humble opine. It's clearly unconstitutional. Congress shall pass, sanction, etc....no state-sponsored religion. End of story. Tear the fucker down.

Yeah, that's pretty much the point in my (overly-sarcastic)previous post. Sometimes I let my desire to be all witty and stuff get in the way of clear expression, I suppose.

Well, yeah, I mean, as an atheist, I don't really care about the religious stuff.
Pat Buchanananananan has an article about it today where he claims that America is being "de-christianized" (or something like that). I mean, how dense do you have to be to read the first amendment and not understand that America is NOT a Christian nation? No establishment of religion. No Christian nation. Secular. Not theocratic.
Oy vey.

I think the state religion, if there were to be one, should be neo-conservative neo-darwinism. Or nihilism. But, that would be exhausting. ff
